Products

FlexGround

FlexGround is a dual-durometer rubber safety surface that is poured in-place and hand-troweled over concrete, asphalt or compacted ABC and is ADA and ASTM 1292 compliant. The bottom “FlexCushion” layer is made from recycled shredded tires, mixed with urethane in a mortar mixer and then hand troweled into place. After a 24hr dry time, the top layer or Wear Course is installed. The Wear Course consists of peroxide cured virgin EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber that is mixed with urethane in a mortar mixer and then hand troweled at a ½” thickness over the existing cushion layer and left to dry for 24-48 hrs.

FlexGrass

FlexGrass is an innovative product from FlexGround.  With a 5 year warranty, FlexGrass is the most durable and maintenance free surfacing you can own.  FlexGrass was the very first IPEMA Certified product in the world that is a combination of a poured-in-place rubber cushion layer with a high quality synthetic turf wear course.

FlexGrass is flexible grass for your playground area that is ADA and ASTM 1292 compliant. FlexGrass consists of our “FlexCushion” material with synthetic grass layered over the top creating a seamless and maintenance free safety surface. The face weight of the synthetic grass overlay is very crucial to avoid premature wear spots. We offer either a 72 oz or a 90oz face weight. Any less and you’re asking for problem spots. FlexGrass can be applied over concrete, asphalt or compacted ABC.

FlexGrip

FlexGrip consists of our EPDM rubber wear course material only. Applied at a ½” thickness FlexGrip is slip resistant and ideal for water play areas or walkways. FlexGrip is an Aliphatic System which means it is UV stable and color fast.  FlexGrip requires a concrete sub base.

FlexCoat

FlexCoat is a urethane top dressing usually applied to any rubber surface 2 years after the initial install of the rubber. This product creates a urethane coat that re-binds the rubber granules giving your safety surface a much longer life cycle. A perfect preventative maintenance application.

FlexFix

FlexFix includes any type of repairs to the above products. Repairs can be made in various designs (triangle, circles, happy faces etc) with different color rubber to make it look like it was designed that way.  A combination of FlexCoat and FlexFix will save money and increase the life of your safety surfacing.

FlexTop

Flex Top is a great way to save severely damaged rubber. It consists of re-applying EPDM granules (and an additional cushion layer if needed) ½” thick over the top of the existing rubber. This conceals the damage, increases the Critical Fall Height of the pad and makes your rubber pad look Brand New!

Craftsmanship: Proper troweling ability and knowing the exact pressure and stroke to utilize are the most important issues when it comes to quality rubber surfacing. These techniques avoid granulation (flaking) and cracking. Troweling rubber is much different than troweling concrete and our crews have the experience and background. Simply put, our installation crews are the best in the industry when it comes to troweling rubber. They have trained other companies and installed rubber all across the country and around the world.

Material Quality: Aside from installation craftsmanship, the materials used in a safety surfacing are what determine the quality and longevity of a rubber surface. Our urethane is specifically formulated for adhering to rubber and contains UV inhibitors. Utilizing post-industrial scrap rubber for our black granulated products and virgin compounds for our colored EPDM we ensure quality materials are processed by performing these tests on our raw materials.
